About me:

I'm a southerner at heart--you'll hear it when I get going in class. I'm a writer, director, yoga teacher, and Reiki master, with a love for powerful yoga practice, good food, good energy, big laughs, and rock and roll.

I studied with Sadie Nardini in her signature Core Strength Vinyasa style, and have developed my own free-flowing, creatively sequenced take on it.

MY emphasis is on unlocking and inspiring creativity--I believe everyone is an artist, a rockstar, and a creator waiting to happen...I aim to inspire, empower, and energize you to discover your own artistic and powerful nature.

My yogic philosophy has a grounding in ancient thought, but is very practical, down-to-earth, and reverently irreverent. I'll remind you to live large, to play for keeps, to love passionately, and to practice your yoga like you're home alone, dancing to your favorite song!

Philosophy:

I try to help each of my students awaken a greater appreciation of his or her own unlimited power. I challenge my students to tap into their inner strength by applying the discipline and joy of a strong yoga practice to the whole of their lives, building and stretching body, mind and spirit.

My classes are accessible and enlivening, with a strong focus on healthy alignment, mixed with great music, creative sequencing, and humor.

We should throw ourselves into each thing we do as though it is the most important thing in the world—while at the same time, maintaining a perspective and sense of humor. Yoga should be joyful, exuberant, funny. To that end, I encourage students to take the time to listen to rock and roll, sing in the shower, and approach yoga as sacred play—as if they are home alone, and nobody is watching.

Healthalicious:

If you want to be healthalicious, find balance. Treat yourself well, and work on yourself in some way every day. A happy self is a more attractive, radiant self, with life, laughs, and love to share.

Hi Brian!

"Empowerment Feng Shui"... never heard of it. What is it and what's the purpose of it?

Hi Brian,

Great meeting you yesterday. What's Punk Rock Yoga? Is it a regular yoga class with punk rock music? I imagine it would be more energetic than average. It sounds cool!
